From two carpenters with a dream to Abaco's most reliable ferry service
Hey there, island hopper! ๐ด If you're planning to explore the Abacos, G&L Ferry is gonna be your new best friend. Started back in 2012 by Grant Albury and Lyle Sawyer (two local carpenters who just wanted cheaper boat rides to work), this ferry service has grown into THE way to island hop around here.
What started as a side hustle with one boat has exploded into a fleet of 9 ferries, making multiple daily runs to all the hottest spots in the Abacos. Their motto? "Hands on to better serve you" - and man, do they live up to it. These aren't some corporate ferry dudes; they're locals who grew up on these waters and treat every passenger like family.
Three stunning cays, endless adventures

Ferry service is "weather permitting" - if it's looking sketchy, they'll cancel for safety. Follow their Facebook page for real-time updates, especially during hurricane season (June-November). Trust me, these captains know these waters like the back of their hand - if they say it's too rough, it's too rough!
